Dedicated Warfighter-maintainers who take ownership of their vehicles and equipment and clearly display pride in keeping them well-maintained help not only their unit’s operational readiness rate but also ensure overall Army and DoD readiness. These maintainers and suppliers often go above and beyond their daily tasks to help others complete their maintenance or supply missions, take on additional work or roles or mentor and teach others.

They deserve recognition, and leaders can use PS Magazine’s “I Own This” program to shine a spotlight on them and their efforts. Unfortunately, PS hasn’t received a nomination for this program since May. We must rely on you—leaders, both military and civilian, and fellow Warfighters—to take the time to fill out and submit the online nomination form.

If you work with a Warfighter who fits these criteria, we encourage you to nominate them ASAP. PS will feature these high-speed individuals, allowing you to share how their excellent work impacts your unit and, hopefully, inspire others to do the same.

By the way, we also have a program to recognize high-speed civilian maintainers. Learn more about the “I Sustain This” program HERE.
