Dear Half-Mast,

I have a question about one of the PMCS checks in the -10 TM for the Bradley FOV.  When draining the fuel/water separator, the operator’s manual says to drain fuel from the fuel filter into a suitable container and check for contamination.

If the fuel shows no signs of contamination, can it then be poured back into the Bradly’s fuel tank?

Dear SFC,

Good question. TACOM says DO NOT pour the fuel used to check for contamination back into the fuel tank. Instead, properly dispose of the fuel according to your unit’s environmental SOP.
