M12A1 Decon: New Mixing Instructions for JGPD-HME

BLUF: The M12A1 decontaminating apparatus has new mixing instructions for JGPD-HME M333 decontamination kit.

The M12A1 decontaminating apparatus has new mixing instructions for the joint general-purpose decontaminant for hardened military equipment (JGPD-HME) M333 decontamination kit, NSN 6850-01-685-8602. The instructions can be found on the joint acquisition CBRN Knowledge System (JACKS) website under the training menu.

The M333 chemical and biological (CB) decontamination kit is designed to provide operational and thorough decontamination capabilities in hostile and non-hostile environments that have been exposed to traditional and non-traditional CB contamination. The kit can be used for tactical vehicles, shipboard surfaces, crew-served weapons and individual weapons. Once mixed, the JGPD is applied directly to contaminated surfaces and is capable of reducing/neutralizing CB contamination within 30 minutes of application.

The kit is available in two packaging configurations: 5-gallon and 25-gallon.
