Avenger: Remote Control Unit with VIC-5

BLUF: New remote control unit for the Avenger VIC-5 comes with these part numbers and NSNs

The VIC-5 communication equipment on Avengers now uses a remote control unit (RCU) with the dual operator system (DOS) bracket permanently installed on the back. The old configuration had a removable bracket installed on the back of the RCU.

Two models of the RCU with permanent DOS brackets are available, each with its own part number and NSN. Each new RCU can only replace a specific old RCU per the table below.
