Operator, your bridge erection boat (BEB) might not start if it’s been sitting for a long time in the water or when it’s dry docked. The boat’s batteries are known to drain if they aren’t used. This can occur if the red, master disconnect switches (port and starboard) aren’t switched to OFF after use.

After operating your BEB, don’t forget to turn off the batteries on the port (left) and starboard (right) sides of the bridge boat.

Of course, also don’t forget to turn them back ON before starting up your BEB for the next operation; otherwise, it won’t start.
