120M Road Grader: Wrap Hydraulic Hoses

BLUF:  Wrap hydraulic hoses with spiral wrap to prevent wear and tear during operations.

The hydraulic hoses on the 120M road grader’s front wheel drive are constantly rubbed and chaffed during operations because they’re so close together. All that rubbing can wear holes in the hoses, possibly causing leaks.

To guard against the chaffing, your mechanic can use black spiral wrap, NSN 9330-00-889-7776.

Not all hoses or their full length may require wrapping. Only those hoses or portions of them where points of friction occur will need the spiral wrap.
