HMEE-1: SINCGARS Mount?

BLUF: There is no SINCGARS radio kit authorized for the HMEE-1.

A common question about the HMEE-1 is whether a SINCGARS radio can be mounted in it. A related question is whether a mounting kit is available.

No is the answer to both.

The HMEE-I has wiring to power a SINCGARS radio, but a permanent mount was never added. Modifying a HMEE-I and installing a permanent SINCGARS radio mount has not been approved.
