M1088A1P2 FMTV: Don’t Pull M1082 or M1095 Trailers

Operators, don’t try pulling an M1082 or M1095 trailer with your M1088A1P2 FMTV because the safety chains could get caught on the counterweight and potentially cause damage to the vehicle and trailer. That’s because with the addition of armor upgrades to the M1088A1P2 FMTV, a counterweight was added to the rear of the vehicle that makes the towing pintle unusable.

WP 0035 of TM 9-2320-333-10-1 (Sep 19) provides a list of trailers that can be pulled by the M1088A1P2 FMTV.
