Mechanics, when it comes to MEDEVAC mission equipment to support field maintenance, there are frequent requirements units identify for non-stock listed parts.

Even if a part doesn’t have an NSN, units can still order it using the part number on a DD Form 1348-6, DOD Single Line Item Requisition System Document. All DD Form 1348-6 requirements should be prepared, processed and submitted by unit supply personnel and forwarded to the AMCOM Logistics Center (ALC) high priority requisition team at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Whenever you submit a DD Form 1348-6 for non-stock listed material, email it to:
Submitting a completed DD Form 1348-6 ensures that asset demands are captured by the ALC weapon system team (WST). These requirements aren’t tracked within the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) system like stock listed items.

Submitting a DD Form 1348-6 also assists the ALC item managers in researching all part number requisitions and identifying those that qualify for NSN assignment and procurement. If a DD Form 1348-6 isn’t submitted and doesn’t come through the proper supply channels, the asset demand is lost. That can result in decreased mission readiness, delayed support to the requesting unit, longer procurement lead times, and wrong assets being supported.

If you’ve got questions about the DD Form 1348-6 preparation or submission process, or the supportability of non-stock listed MEDEVAC parts, email Ashley Anderton at:
