All Aircraft: Preparing for Summer Weather

When spring and summer arrive, most people think of getting outdoors for barbeques, pools or the beach and other activities. But there’s something else spring and summer bring: stormy weather, which affects all Soldiers but especially aviators.

In the April 2021 issue of FlightFax, meteorologists warn aviators to pay attention to air mass, thunderstorms, sea breezes, outflow boundaries, microbursts, squall lines, and yes, even hurricanes.

Take a look at the attached Flight Fax article to get informed about how to respond and not underestimate threatening summer weather which can change rapidly. In summer weather, keep flying safely!
