M997A3 HMMWV: Fan Speed Knob NSN

Dear Half-Mast,
 
I’m having trouble finding an NSN for the fan speed knob and switch in the back of the M997A3 HMMWV that controls how fast the fan blows. TM 9-2320-387-24P (Feb 08) only references a toggle, not a rotary switch.

There isn’t an NSN yet for the fan speed knob and switch. You likely received a new HMMWV with knobs rather than slide levers which were on the older M997A3s. (Both the old and new M997A3s have toggle switches, which turn the power on and off).

Some items for the improved M997A3’s HVAC aren’t fully provisioned yet, including the switch and knob. So until an NSN is assigned, you can buy the complete panel assembly, of which the speed knob and switch are components, using NSN 2510-01-692-2787, PN 12598796.
