Does your unit have M1135 NBCRV Strykers? If so, be aware that there’s a change to Item 19 in WP 0103-17 in the quarterly PMCS tables in TM 3-6665-397-13&P (Sep 15). It relates to servicing the biological agent warfare system (BAWS).
The following statement is being removed:
“STRYKER units do not utilize the UMT. Send the LRU back to Depot for service, cleaning, calibrating and/or repair.”
The following info will be added:
“If UMT is available, qualified personnel (94F with ASI F1) can service LRU's utilizing UMT. If UMT and/or qualified personnel are not available then Stryker units will send the LRU back to Depot for service, cleaning, calibrating and/or repair. The operator will rely on the Local Control Subsystem (LCS) to provide an advisory message as to when the BAWS requires servicing.”
Make a note of these changes until the TM is updated.
