Aviation: Use the Proper Tools for the Job


One of the handiest tools Soldiers often grab when they don’t have the right tool is the multi-tool. Even though it’s been around for ages, it should never be used on an aircraft.   
        
The right tools for aircraft maintenance are the ones called out in your TMs. To make sure you understand what tools to use and plan maintenance accordingly, take a look at the attached March 2021 Flight Fax article to help with tool selection, tool safety, torque wrench selection and other tips.  

If you’re training or talking to Soldiers and mechanics about aircraft maintenance, share with them these past PS articles that deal with proper tool use.
