Battling aircraft corrosion starts with proper training. You can enroll for training with the Materials Science and Engineering Division Corrosion Program Office for ARMS recognized Corrosion Monitor training. Here’s how:

1. Navigate to this site, which is CAC-enabled:

2. Click on the Corrosion Assistance link from the top.
3. Click on the Request Training link on the left directory.
4. Click on the upcoming Corrosion Monitor Class you would like to enroll in on the right hand side, then click the Request Class button.
5. Fill in all the requested information and click Submit.

After submitting your class request, you’ll receive a pending email. Once accepted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with an attachment containing an information package to aid you in travel preparations. November and December classes will be conducted on MS Teams in a virtual environment and no travel is required. MS Teams class information packets will contain links and mandatory requirements for certification. Future class dates may move to MS Teams due to COVID restrictions. Make sure you read all documents. They contain everything you need to be ready for class.

If you don’t receive the information package within 48 hours, contact the corrosion monitor administrators, Tommy Beutjer, Brian Shine, and Gregory Ralston immediately by email at:
