Combat Vehicles: Turn in Unserviceable Wiring Harnesses

Commanders, senior NCOs, and maintenance managers,

The organic industrial base (OIB) has heard your call for assistance with ground combat systems’ (the M1A2 tank, M2A2 Bradley, M3A3 BFIST and M109A6 Paladin) wiring harness availability in the supply system.

The OIB acknowledges the impact to readiness, and developed initiatives to positively impact your unit’s operational readiness. The Wiring Harness Initiative Program (WHIP) at Red River Army Depot (RRAD) was designed to accept unserviceable wiring harnesses from the field, and then repair and return them to the supply system to meet your requirement.

Units can now return Condition Code “F” wiring harnesses or cable assembly to the supporting tactical SSA in source of supply (SOS) B14 or AKZ.

The 36 wiring harnesses listed below are identified as top readiness drivers and are being inducted into the Pilot Repair Program at RRAD.

Prompt return of these unserviceable wiring harnesses will increase repairs and return to the supply system to meet your unit’s immediate and future requirements.
