AVLB: Heavy Assault Scissoring Bridge Upgraded Weight Limit

Heavy assault scissoring bridge (HASB)
The heavy assault scissoring bridge (HASB) new military load class (MLC)
rating now reflects that it can handle any vehicle in the Army fleet.

Heads up! Army engineers have upgraded the allowable weight limit for the heavy assault scissoring bridge (HASB). The new HASB military load class (MLC) rating has been upgraded from MLC 95 to MLC 115 (MLC 120 for caution crossing).

The weight rating change was tested and approved because Army vehicles are getting heavier. That means the HASB needs to be able to handle those heavy vehicles.

TMs will be updated to reflect the upgraded weight rating. Units equipped with the HASB will need to res-stencil the MLC markings on the bridge to include the change.

Be on the lookout for a TACOM maintenance message that will contain more information on the HASB weight rating change, and provide directions for units to re-stencil their HASBs.
