Corrosion: Army Corrosion Prevention & Control: What is the Why?

Troops, listen up.

Did you know that maintenance costs for fixing DoD equipment damaged by corrosion runs roughly $23 billion a year?

That’s why corrosion prevention and control requires ongoing planning and execution, across all units and at all levels.

The attached article from the Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) details the policies and requirements for preventing and/or controlling corrosion. The article also provides information about AMCOM’s accredited corrosion course for personnel appointed as unit corrosion monitors.
